Tras haber anunciado a Robert Pattinson como el próximo Batman y protagonista de la trilogía dirigida por Matt Reeves, la popularidad de Pattinson ha aumentado por lo que no sólo lo quieren ver como Batman, sino como James Bond también.
Danny Boyle, se encontraba detrás del proyecto del agente 007 pero debido a diferencias creativas dejó el proyecto siendo Cary Fukunaga el nuevo encargado del proyecto, quien a su vez ha sido acusado de ausentarse en el rodaje por jugar videojuegos.
Sin embargo, recientemente Boyle anunció su deseo sobre ver a Pattinson interpretando a Bond, tras ver su actuación en la película High Life, aunque consideró que es muy joven aún para ese papel.
