El Cine Animado

Lo primero que debemos decir antes de postular al “cine animado” como un género, es que la animación en sí, data de muchos siglos antes que la cinematografía. Hay quien defiende la postura en que las primeras animaciones como tal, son dibujos rupestres que expresan movimiento, sin embargo es hasta 1640 que el inventor, sacerdote, maestro, científico y escritor Atanasio Kircher da vida a “La linterna Mágica”; aparato óptico precursor al cinematógrafo patentado por los hermanos Lumière en 1895.

El primer cortometraje animado de la historia fue creado por Émilie Cohl en 1908, el cual lleva por nombre Fantasmagorie, mientras que el primer largometraje de la historia es considerado creación de la Cineasta Quirino Cristiani en el año de 1917.

En los años 1960 y 1970, con la popularización de la televisión, los cortometrajes de animación desaparecieron definitivamente de los cines. A partir de entonces se limitó el cupo a los largometrajes comerciales, terreno dominado por Disney hasta los años 1990.

En Japón el anime japonés se ha convertido en la industria más prolífica del planeta, popularizándose en todo el mundo. En Francia han destacado los cortometrajes de la productora Folimage. En el México de 1927 Miguel Acosta realizó las primeras películas animadas que duraban 30 segundos. En el Reino Unido, la productora Aardman Animations, dedicada principalmente a animación con plastilina, se hizo popular especialmente por la saga de Wallace y Gromit.

Existe un sinfín de técnicas creativas para realizar películas animadas, que con la llegada del siglo XX han expandido sus fronteras, siendo ahora un género sumamente respetado y con exponentes y espectadores de todas las edades. Cada año se crean nuevas joyas y nuevos avances en el mundo animado, lo cual da como resultado que el control sobre el mercado vaya perdiendo terreno, pues crear ficción con dibujos está ahora al alcance de prácticamente toda aquella persona con acceso a una computadora.
